Rookery Island Monitoring Training

Our next Bird Nerd Series features out Rookery Island Monitoring Training that compliments the TERN training for foraging habitats, however this monitoring is for rookery habitats only. Since we began TERN last fall, we have heard of many new rookeries throughout the Houston/Galveston region that are not necessarily directly within Galveston Bay. If you would like to learn more about counting massive amounts of birds and how to keep safe distances from rookery islands while still enjoying the incredible views, please come attend this class! The results of monitoring rookery islands will reveal the true numbers of bird populations which is instrumental in helping to keep these species alive and going strong!
