Rookery Island Clean-Up - October 16th

Our next rookery island clean-up of the fall will be held on Friday, October 16th, departing from Tiki Island at 9:00 am. We’ll break around 11:30 for a quick lunch and finish up by 2:00 pm. Volunteers should bring their own lunch and refillable water bottle, and we will provide water, chips, cookies, and granola bars.

Maureen and Allan Wilde have graciously offered their home (239 Isles End, Tiki Island) as the launch site for this clean-up event. Kayaks will be launched from their raised dock so please be sure your boat has a rope attached to help lower/raise it from the water. The folks from Tiki (Wilde’s, Wright’s, and Long’s) will provide snacks/goodies following the event.

Come Prepared!
We suggest participants wear protective clothing, long pants and closed toed shoes/boots (it will be wet and muddy). Be sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, and work gloves if possible. Tools and supplies will be provided. Watch the weather and dress appropriately.

IMPORTANT: Access to these islands will be by kayak only. Sorry - there are no seats available on participating power boats.
