Dear Friends of Audubon Texas and Audubon TERN,

I am excited to share with you an invitation for a small gallery event in Houston to share our Audubon Texas statewide conservation efforts, and also feature a Texas artist who was inspired by John James Audubon.

Frank X. Tolbert 2 recently produced the "Texas Bird Suite" of large scale works and prints -- and his works are fantastic!  His "Texas Bird Project" show just opened on November 7th -- and he offered to let Audubon Texas use the gallery space on December 1st, so we have jumped at the opportunity.

I do hope that you might be able to stop by -- and I'm excited to share with you that both Brian Trusty, our Executive Director and Iliana Pena, our Director of Conservation will be able to join us in Houston for the event, as well.  There is so much exciting conservation work happening all around the Lone Star State -- and we look forward to inspiring you all with the important work that Audubon Texas is doing to add to that equation.

Frank X. Tolbert 2 will also share with us his passion for Texas birds -- and how he was inspired to learn about the engraving techniques utilized by John James Audubon to produce his own body of works with the assistance of Austin's Flatbed Press.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to any friends/colleagues/family members in the Houston area, who might find this event of interest from either a conservation perspective or an art perspective -- or both!

We're looking forward to visiting with you on December 1st (just reply back to let us know that you'll be there) -- and thanks for all that you do for conservation and Audubon Texas!

Warm regards,
Stephanie
