Update on the TERN program for students in the Lower Laguna Madre

We are very excited to see the successes of our TERN program expanding to youth education!

Students of Santa Rosa ISD received a special program to help bridge the gaps between the world they live in and how they relate to it. One of the biggest environmental issues of our time is the lack of awareness of how our actions impact the planet.  The Watersheds, Wetlands, and Waterbirds Citizen Science Program delivered by Audubon Texas were presented to these students with the intention of connecting them with their environment.  Students that reside within the Lower Rio Grande Valley are living within one of the most ecologically significant and unique areas within the state of Texas. It was Audubon Texas’ great pleasure and honor to introduce these students to the land, natural resources, and wildlife that is inherently theirs to enjoy and to take care of.
