Coastal Trash & Fishing Line Impacts on Wildlife

We want to spread the word about an upcoming workshop on Coastal Trash and Fishing Line Impacts on Wildlife scheduled for Saturday January 17th from 9am to 11am.  This workshop will provide great information about the impacts of our coastal trash on wildlife, updates on the brown pelican situation in Galveston, what to do if you see birds or other animals entangled and how you can get involved to support local efforts to reduce fishing line impacts.  The first part of this workshop will be presentation style followed by a field trip to the Texas City Dike for a short clean up and hands on yawareness session.  Please bring appropriate clothing for the dike experience, however we do not expect to enter the water at any time.  Audubon Texas will provide the appropriate gear for fishing line or trash collection such as gloves and trash bags.
