Audubon Texas, Houston Audubon, and Galveston Bay Area Master
Naturalist are organizing a clean-up workday for the North Jetty Bolivar
Peninsula on Wednesday, May 27th from 9am-12pm. Our goal
will be to gather trash and fishing line that often poses a hazard to local
wildlife.
We will provide gloves, trash grabbers, and bags along with
bottle water and some lite snacks. Bring a large snack or lunch for the ride
home. If you would like to attend please wear sturdy shoes or boots that can
get muddy or wet and clothing that will protect you from the sun and mosquitos.
Don’t forget a hat, sunglasses, etc..
CLICK HERE to register for this activity so we will know how many people to
be prepared for! This event is open to anyone!
Once you have registered and are on the list, you will receive
an email no later than one week prior to the event with a meet up map. We will also
have some car pool options, and possibly a plan to be picked up from the ferry
to cut down on the traffic coming and going from Bolivar side.
For those who would like to come early (i.e. 8am – 9am) Stennie
will be birding at the North Jetty.
Pass the word along to any interested individuals or
groups!
Please contact me with questions/comments.
